Rainbow Summer Essentials.

Let's be honest, some people are just born for summer! Their skin is radiant, their hair is glowing, their tan is perfection, and peachy keen cheeks are the cherry on top. Unfortunately, that's not me. I thrive during autumn, winter, and spring, but summer really beats me up! Just a tiny bit of dehydration brings out the bags under my eyes, I can't get a tan so I'm forever pale, I feel slow, and my mood is in the dry dumps. If you're not a summer person like me, here are five simple things to make you look and feel like a champion!

1. WATER. Not only does water keep you hydrated, it flushes out toxins, revealing a beautiful complexion.
2. CUCUMBER. Don't just put these babies over your eyes! They're great for keeping you cool and keeping skin clear. Add a dash of lemon juice and chili powder for a refreshingly zesty treat. Along with vitamins A, B, & C, cucumbers keep hair and nails looking their best.
3. MANGO. Maybe I'm just adding this one because it's my favorite fruit, but how can summer be summer without mango? Plus, if you're blind as a bat like myself, mangoes are packed with vitamin A to help with vision and are energy boosters thanks to vitamin C.
4. ORANGE JUICE. I mean fresh-squeezed orange juice. This is simple to make and is packed with more than just vitamin C. Oranges help your vision, rejuvenate your skin, and help stabilize the body once digested. Isn't Mother Nature sweet?
5. WATERMELON. Although 92% water, watermelons help reduce body fat, keep your kidneys on check, improve vision, and aid in controlling high blood pressure.

Don't forget to exercise at least 2O minutes a day (walking counts). And here's a fruit tip: Slice your fruit, add into ziplock bags, and store in the freezer. You can make smoothies or eat them cold. Ever tried frozen grapes before? They're a gift from the gods! Don't forget to share your favorite summer things for health and beauty. :)

Desgraciadamente, esa no soy yo.

¿Has probado uvas congeladas? :)
