Justice For Cecil!

Source.
I am appalled at the cowardly actions that adults still make at this day and age. Minnesota dentist, Walter Palmer, paid $5O,OOO to hunt and kill a lion early this month. Once he spotted and lured 13 year-old Cecil out of the national park, he shot and left him injured as he managed to escape. However, Palmer found him 4O hours later and killed him. To make the matter more horrifying, Cecil's head was cut off and was skinned entirely. Palmer's pitiful excuse of an apology was that had he known the lion was famous, he would have never killed him.

When people commit such horrible acts, there is no way around it. People have no business torturing and killing ANY animals. The fact that he's a father of two only makes matters worse. Thank goodness I had a father (rest his soul) who taught me that all lives, including the lives of animals, should never be taken for granted. Apparently, this is also not Palmer's first "victorious" hunt.

Cecil left behind a bloodline of lion cubs who will unfortunately be killed by the new lion coming in to take over the pride. Hopefully those cubs will be spared by sanctuaries; it's the most that can be done after this mournful ending.

¡Justicia Para Cecil!

  1. I hope this disgusting excuse for a human being goes out of business and never dares show his face again. Who in this day and age goes 'on safari' like it is the 1900's or something. I will never in my life understand how people can hurt and kill animals.

    1. No one can supposedly find him after the incident. I wouldn't be surprised if the government is keeping him safe since there are many infuriated people trying to seek some form of justice for what he's done.

  2. I don't understand the need to hunt and kill for sport. It defies all logic.

  3. What that man has done is absolutely disgusting! I don't understand killing for sport. What kind of "sport" is that!?! My question is, who did he pay the $50,000 to? Wouldn't they have known that this lion was well known? It just boggles my mind!

    1. I don't understand how that even fits into the criteria of sport either. He supposedly paid two professionals, but clearly it didn't matter.

  6. It took me a while to understand this. Why did this happen? And the answer was because "I'm a hunter"... that's just mad and sick >:(

    1. Why do hunters like him still exist? I have absolutely no clue. Clearly he is a man from the suburbs who does't need to hunt as a way to survive.

    I think so, too.
Many dangerous people don't stop to kill animals.
    We are animals, too!

    1. You're very right. People tend to forget that though and feel far more superior to these animals that have done absolutely nothing to us.

  9. I totally agree. This was just so unfair. People are becoming more and more insane with years. Hope this all cruelty among animals will stop one day soon.
